Your marriage is a Godly covenant and is the most important relationship outside of your relationship with Christ you will ever have. The Bible uses marriage as a metaphor to illustrate the relationship between Christ and the church, emphasizing love, commitment, and a “one flesh” union. Because of this Satan hates marriage and prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. (1 Peter 5:8).
Interesting Fact – Satan did not even show up on earth until Adam married Eve and then the first thing he did was get in between the two of them to not only damage their relationship with each other, but also to damage their relationship with God.
If you want to have a Godly marriage and use your purpose as a couple for Him, you need to be prepared because he will come coming after your marriage.
The safest road to hell (divorce) is the gradual one—the gentle slope, soft underfoot, without sudden turnings, without milestones, without signposts.
